Joseph Francis Albuquerque, NM Death: Beloved Resident Has Died
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Francis “Joe” Neas, 71, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose generosity and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, to Miriam and Frank Neas, Joe spent much of his life in the construction industry, eventually owning his own business. He was known for his unwavering commitment to helping others, often offering his skills and support to those in need, even when they could not afford to pay. His selflessness and compassion made a lasting impact on countless people and earned him the admiration and respect of everyone around him.
Joe found true happiness in the company of his family. He cherished his time spent at his ranch near Ramah, New Mexico, and enjoyed flying his Cessna over the vast New Mexico landscape. He also had a deep love for motorcycles, spending many years riding and rebuilding them alongside his brother, Mike Neas. His passion for his work, hobbies, and family was apparent in everything he did.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Neas; his daughters, Weslea O’Connor and her husband Patrick O’Connor, and Autumn Neas and her partner Patrick Real; and his grandchildren, Abby and Carol. He is also survived by his siblings, Meg Vandermeiden and Mike Neas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Miriam Neas; his siblings, Harold (Ted) Neas and Maureen Neas; and his in-laws, Marjorie and Wilton Spradley.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, services will be private.
Joe’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. He was a man who gave without hesitation, loved deeply, and left a mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
