John Gross Township, PA Accident Death: Cherish Resident Has Died In A Fatal Crash

North Codorus Township, PennsylvaniaA tragic accident early on Thursday morning has claimed the life of 61-year-old John Gross of Glenville, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

At approximately 6:40 a.m., Gross was driving his Ford F-150 northbound on the 1700 block of Seven Valleys Road when his truck crossed into oncoming traffic. At that moment, a fully loaded tractor-trailer, driven by a 55-year-old man from Ohio, was heading south. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing a devastating impact.

Rescue crews arrived at the scene within minutes to find the tractor-trailer blazing, with its cab and cargo engulfed in flames. Despite their rapid response, emergency responders were unable to save Gross, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, who was on his way to Shrewsbury to pick up a scheduled load of eggs, escaped serious injury. He has fully cooperated with investigators and provided details about the crash. The authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.

John Gross was well-known in the Glenville community, described by friends and neighbors as a quiet and dependable presence. He was always ready to lend a hand or offer a friendly wave, and his sudden passing has left a deep hole in the tight-knit community that will be felt for many years to come.
