Daysi Olivas Tragic Collision Death Thermal Obituary

Daysi Olivas, 25, of Thermal, has been confirmed as the victim in a Friday head-on collision on Fillmore Street.

The crash was reported just after 1 p.m. on the 58000 block. California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres said a southbound Honda Accord carrying Olivas, a male driver, and a juvenile crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a northbound Toyota Camry driven by a male motorist.

Emergency responders from the Riverside County Fire Department found severe damage to both vehicles. The drivers were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance, and Olivas and the juvenile were airlifted to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital
