Chastity Smith Trenton, OH Crash- Death and Obituary

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a southbound Tesla crossed left of center and collided head-on with a GMC Terrain traveling in the opposite direction.

Authorities said the impact forced the Tesla off the west side of the roadway, while the GMC came to rest off the east side. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators identified the Tesla driver as 17-year-old Dylan Sougstad. The driver of the GMC Terrain was identified as 53-year-old Chastity Smith.

The crash led to the temporary closure of the roadway as crews responded and investigators processed the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
