Dr. Antoni Calmon London Death obituary

Antoni Calmon has passed away due to complications following surgery. In Paris, he was recognized as one of the city’s leading cosmetic doctors, but that was never how I knew him.

I first met Antoni at a nightclub in Paris, and we connected immediately. We exchanged emails—yes, it was that long ago—and I remember being struck by his kindness. That brief encounter blossomed into one of the most meaningful friendships of my life.

A week later, he wrote to say he was coming to New York for a few months. We met again, and what followed was an effortless, instant friendship. We became like brothers—sharing our dreams, our struggles, and our laughter. We celebrated together, we cried together, and we found joy in each other’s company.

Though life eventually led us in different directions, we always stayed connected, aware of each other’s journey. Learning that he is no longer with us has left me truly shaken. My heart aches, and I will deeply miss him.

There is a French word that captures my grief: bouleversé—shaken, heartbroken, turned upside down. This is a solemn reminder of life’s fragility. We are here, and then, suddenly, we are not.
