Adriana (Ricci) O’Toole Death Obituary: Beloved Resident Has Died
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adriana (Ricci) O’Toole, a beloved resident of Montclair, who passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 93, after a brief illness. Surrounded by her children, she peacefully left this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, education, and community service.
Born in 1932, Adriana was the daughter of Italian immigrants Idamo and Theresa Ricci. She was the first in her family to pursue higher education, an accomplishment she was deeply proud of. After graduating from Emerson High School in Union City in 1950, Adriana went on to attend Douglass College (formerly New Jersey College for Women), where she earned a degree in English. She furthered her academic journey by earning a master’s degree in education from New York University in 1964.
Adriana’s love for learning was matched only by her dedication to her career and community. A successful real estate professional, she enjoyed a 50-year career in the field, where her expertise and dedication earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Throughout her career, she was known for her honesty, work ethic, and commitment to helping others find their perfect homes.
Beyond her professional achievements, Adriana was a pillar of her community in Montclair, where she was involved in numerous organizations and initiatives. Her passion for education and service extended to many facets of life, from mentoring young people to volunteering for local causes. Adriana’s kindness, generosity, and tireless dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others made her a cherished member of her community.
Adriana is survived by her loving children, who were by her side in her final days. Her family and friends will remember her for her wisdom, unwavering support, and her ability to touch the lives of everyone she met. Whether it was through her professional work, her volunteer efforts, or her role as a mother and friend, Adriana’s impact on the world around her will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her extraordinary life. The family kindly requests privacy at this time, but they appreciate the outpouring of love and support from the community.
