San Antonio 410 Accident Today: Crash on Loop 410 Causes Traffic Disruptions

Drivers in San Antonio experienced major traffic disruptions Wednesday after a crash along Loop 410 prompted an emergency response and temporary road closures.

The collision took place Wednesday afternoon near Callaghan Road on the city’s Northwest Side. Preliminary information indicates that a westbound pickup truck struck another vehicle before veering off the roadway, crossing over a guardrail, and crashing into a tree along the frontage road.

First responders arrived quickly at the scene and transported the pickup truck driver to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported the driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police temporarily shut down sections of the roadway to allow crews to investigate the crash and safely clear the area.

Traffic in the region had already been affected earlier in the day by a separate incident involving an 18-wheeler. That crash forced the closure of the southbound ramp connecting Loop 410 to Interstate 37, prompting officials to advise motorists to seek alternate routes.

As one of San Antonio’s busiest highways, Loop 410 plays a crucial role in the city’s transportation network. Any collision along the beltway can quickly lead to widespread congestion and delays for commuters.

Officials have not yet announced the cause of the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. Drivers passing through the area were urged to remain cautious and allow extra travel time while authorities worked to restore normal traffic flow.
